Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort: Stay in Bophut, Koh Samui

The 106-room resort sits on the site of an old coconut plantation directly on Bophut Beach. Bill Bensley designed the gardens and spa with lily ponds and monkey statues throughout the grounds. Fisherman's Village is a short walk along the sand, and the airport is a 15-minute drive away.

Premier and deluxe rooms range from 32 to 36 sqm with garden or sea views and a private balcony with a daybed. Suites extend from 44 sqm to the 150 sqm Luxury Beachfront Pool Suite, which offers a private pool and terrace. The Two Bedroom Family Suite provides separate en-suites and a lounge with a built-in bar.

Guilty is a South American drinking-dining den with ocean views. TAN Beach Lounge serves Mediterranean-Asian dishes poolside. Spice Spoons is a cooking class that starts with a trip to the local market with the chef.

The Anantara Spa is a Bill Bensley-designed sanctuary spread over 3,000 sqm with six garden treatment suites. Multi-day programmes such as the Three-Day Holistic Wellness Retreat combine Muay Thai, yoga, and herbal steam therapies. Treatments use the Moringa Project line and Elemis products.

The Baan Ling Noi Kid's Club is open daily from 09:00 to 18:00 for children aged 4 to 12. A treasure hunt sends children to eight locations around the resort to unlock a chest with a golden key. Certified in-house babysitters are available on request.
